The Kaduna Youth for Good Governance (KYGG), has harped on the President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Tinubu’s responsibilities of being saddled with the task of resurrecting Nigeria from the verge of being a failed country.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday in Kaduna, by Chairman of the KYGG, Comrade Aliyu Modibbo.
He said that the worse mistake President Tinubu would make is to create impression in the minds of the citizens that his administration is an offshoot of his predicesor’s government.
Modibbo therefore, called on president Tinubu not to shy away from probing and prosecuting corrupt members of the ruling party.
According to him, doing so would amount to building on an unstable foundation and will not escape the blame.
He, therefore added that President Tinubu “Must chart a new course on accountability and transparency however being in the same party.
“He must probe and recover looted funds, luckily, President Buhari had created precedence by his probe of the Jonathan Administration and persecution of some of its members,”Modibbo said.
He charged President on changing his leadership approach, noting that the cost of living has made Nigerians begin to loose hope in the Democratic Government.
“As long as we can’t get it right, we are definitely calling for military intervention, because the citizens can’t endure injustice.
“Democracy is supposed to be hope for the people, but in Nigeria, our politician’s do not love the future of the country.
“Education and health care services are not affordable for the common man, we have high rate of youth unemployment and corruption is almost consuming the country where security of lifes and properties are no longer guaranteed,”he lamented.
Modibbo, however expressed optimism that President Tinubu’s experience as a former Governor of Lagos State and the legacies he left would be able to aid him pilot the affairs of Nigeria to prosperity.(NAN)
